Carantec offers many sites for parking.
The peninsula of Carantec enjoys 12 kilometres of coastline, many listed or registered sites and protected natural areas. Camping and caravanning are therefore strictly controlled.
In order to preserve the quality of the sites and to respect the law, you are requested to observe the following rules:
According to the law, you are allowed to park your vehicle during the day on all public parking spaces except in the harbour street and on the harbour square.
Caution: The streets being narrow at the harbour, circulation is forbidden to motorhomes rue de Kermenguy and rue de Porspol. We therefore advise you, if you wish to go to the harbour, to park your motorhome at the bottom of rue Bouvet, at the corner of rue Neuve.
Regarding night parking, you are only allowed to camp on the following spaces, numbered on the map overleaf:
1. Kerrot : The motorhome service area, equipped with water (100 L) and electric (1 hour) hook-ups, is situated 50 m from the water tower.
Tokens (2€ per unit) are on sale at the Tourist Office, 4, rue Pasteur, Tel.: 02 98 67 00 43, in BELLEC's bakery, 26 rue Pasteur and DEMAIS' bakery, opposite the church, and at Le Petit Relais (restaurant situated on Kelenn beach). You are allowed to park there for 48 hours.
2. Pen al Lann : To the right, after the tennis court, in the pine grove, in a quiet spot. Picnic area.
3. At Kélenn : Sheltered from winds, between the sailing centre and the public hall. Close to the sea.
4. At Clouët : Facing the beach and the bay of Morlaix. Sea view.
5. At Roch Glaz : Facing the quarry and overlooking the bay of Morlaix. Sea view.
Parking of motorhomes and caravans is forbidden from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., on the public roads, car parks and streets below, in order to respect the character of the site, hygiene and security regulations and the tranquillity of the neighbourhood.
- Eastern car park at Le Kelenn (between the sailing centre and the beach)
- Western car park at Le Kelenn (on the seafront, to the left of the shops)
- Car park at la Grève Blanche (in totality, facing Callot island)
- Landscaped parking areas on Callot island
