Visiting the "Château du Taureau" is so much more than that. Its discovery is a journey at the heart of history, in the memories of a bay which kept its treasures of nature intact. From the bunkers to the terrace, from the passageways to the drawbridge, each visitor is invited to freely wander around the three floors of the fortress which has been faithfully restored.

The Château du Taureau will be open from 4th april, 2009.
The visit lasts 2 hours from Carantec.
Embarking is at Kelenn beach.
The ticket includes the return crossing on a boat and one hour visit of the Château du Taureau.

Exhibition
A dozen thematic pannels recount the history of this fortress of stone.
You will discover the daily life of the garrison and of the 18th century prisoners. You will encounter key characters of the history of the fort such as Vauban, Blanqui, Vilmorin and Pidancet. Spyglasses and viewpoint indicator boards will guide you towards the horizon.
