In 2007, Carantec earned the "Famille Plus" label, identifying the touristic stations which give high priority to the welcoming of families with children.
It is a national label, which was created thanks to the combined efforts of three touristic collectivities associations:
  - the National Association of Listed Stations and Touristic Towns Mayors
  - the National Association of Mountain - Ski Stations Mayors
  - the Federation for Green Stations and Snow Villages.

This label, which is acknowledged by the Tourism Office Board, is meant to give greater value to the subscriber towns that are ready to create and encourage a family-friendly environment. In order to obtain this label, touristy towns such as Carantec have to meet general criteria gathered around 6 main themes: 
  - a customised welcome for families
  - provided entertainment for all ages
  - from the smallest to the biggest, fitted prices for all
  - a large palette of activities, to attend to with the whole family
  - a close-at-hand medical service to fix the little booboos as well as the more serious ones
  - professionals ready to pamper your children
