Visit of the Château du Taureau :
This fort built in the middle of the sea by the people from Morlaix in the 16th century then adapted by Vauban in the 18th century, protected the Bay of Morlaix from enemy attacks coming from the sea. Converted into a prison, then used as a summer residence or a sailing school, this exceptional monument has lived several lives. The visit will uncover the story of this maritime fortress and its environment: the bay of Morlaix Inaccessible for a long time, the château du Taureau is at last revealing its secrets!

Proposition 2 : An exceptional natural environment
Morning
Visit of "la Maison de l'Huître" :
On the waterfront of the bay of Morlaix, this renowned oyster farm founded in 1898 is run by Alain Madec, the fourth. For over 100 years, the Madec oyster farm, concerned about work well done and quality, produce oysters of great character and strong taste.
The area reserved for production has been expanded and has given birth to a retail shop for crustaceans, crabs, oysters and shellfish, all displayed in sea water. This is your chance to taste oysters or mussels fresh from the tanks!
Guided tour length: 1 hour - rates: 2 € entrance fee per person and 6 € per person for a visit with taster session (6 middle size oysters or mussels with white wine and rye bread)

The Claude-Goude Park
The diversity and age of the planted species in this park offer one of the most beautiful collections of trees in the region, in a remarkable setting.
Possibility to walk along the coastal paths up to Cosmeur point.
Free access and visit
Callot Island, only accessible at low tide.
On this little patch of paradise, while strolling between artichoke fields and creeks, you will be able to visit Notre Dame de Callot chapel, dating from the 17th century, and the north point protected by the department council and equipped with a viewpoint indicator.
Allow 2 1/2hours walk from the harbour.
From Le Frout to La Lande lighthouse
From the place called "Le Frout" along the bay of Morlaix, take the road to La Lande lighthouse (not open for visitors): Exceptional scenic view over the bay of Morlaix and the oyster parcs. Come back along the GR 34 coastal path.
